UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THIS WEEK!!!
We would like to thank all of our customers for your patience, understanding, and support, this week. This was a historic event and one that we may never see again in our lifetime. The "winter weather storm" is definitely not something that we are accustomed to down in the deep south.
As stated in previous post, the Safety of our Team members is our Top priority. The winter storm and its lingering effects have caused us to not run any of our normal routes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Late last week we cancelled recycling for this week. On Monday we made the announcement that we would only be providing 1x per week service this week. We did this so that we could try and get everyone at least 1x service for this week. Not being able to run on Thursday puts us in another very unusual situation. We will now have to try and run 3 days of routes in 2 days.
City of Mandeville - normally serviced on Wednesday - you will be serviced on Friday.
City of Covington - normally serviced on Wednesday - you will be serviced on Friday.
Town of Abita Springs - normally serviced on Tuesday - you will be serviced on Friday.
City of Slidell, Louisiana - normally serviced 2x per week on Tuesday and Friday, you will be serviced on Saturday.
We will not be able to list all of the areas that will be serviced on Friday and Saturday. There are just too many to mention and it would probably get too confusing. So we are asking all customers that are are normally serviced 2x per week on Tuesday and Friday, as well as all customers that are normally serviced 1x per week that are serviced on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, to please put your carts to the curb on Thursday night or by 5am on Friday morning. Our plan is to get all of these customers serviced by Saturday evening.
As a reminder -- if you received services on Monday, we will not be back in your area until next Monday. There is no 2nd collection day this week.
Again, thank you for your patience and understanding. It has been a crazy week, but we appreciate the support that you have shown for the safety of our Team members. The next couple of service days will be challenging. However, we feel that we have the best plan in place to service the customers that have not yet been serviced this week. Please continue to monitor our website and social media pages for any further announcements concerning the adjusted schedule for the remainder of this week.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS OF CES!
NO SERVICE ON THURSDAY JANAURY 23rd!!
After gathering information from across the Northshore, and due to the dangerous road conditions that are expected in many areas across the Northshore, we have made the decision NOT to run any routes on Thursday January 23rd. Our office will also be closed. We made this decision for several different reasons:
1) The road conditions have been very dangerous today. There has been a lot of ice on the roads. The temperature has remained above freezing for the past several hours which has helped in "thawing" some of the ice and snow. However, the temperature is forecasted to be below freezing by 6pm tonight and remain below freezing until roughly 9am tomorrow morning. This means that the majority of the roads will still be too dangerous to drive on.
2) We have drivers/hoppers that come from many different areas. With the roads expected to be frozen until roughly 9am, we can't put our team members at risk driving to our facility in Lacombe. Their Safety is our #1 priority. We also can't put them in a risky situation with our trucks on routes.
3) Even if there was a way that we could run tomorrow, the landfill is closed. This means we would not be able to dump the garbage once collected.
We are currently working on another schedule to try and accommodate our customers. We cancelled recycling for this week. Our goal is to get everyone at least 1 service this week. The historic weather event that took place yesterday, as well as the lingering effects from the storm, are making scheduling very challenging. It is a unique situation that we are not accustomed to in the Southeast. Please continue to monitor our website and social medial pages for the posting of the updated schedules for Friday and Saturday.
We announced on Monday that that areas that are normally serviced 2x per week would only receive 1x service this week. We also announced that recycling was cancelled for this week and will resume normal schedule next week.
As always, we appreciate your patience, understanding, and support.

WEATHER ALERT!!!
NO GARBAGE COLLECTION ON TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY!
Good morning!
We are adjusting our collection schedules for the remainder of this week due to the unprecedented snowstorm that is expected to hit our area on Tuesday, as well as the lingering impacts that will possibly affect our area through Thursday morning. Our major concern is the safety of our Team Members. We will not put them in harm’s way! The road conditions will not be favorable for them to get to the facility on Tuesday or Wednesday. These conditions are also not favorable for them to be on the road in our trucks. There is still some uncertainty as to the amount of sleet and snow that we will receive in the areas that we service. The snow is currently expected to start early on Tuesday morning and end somewhere around 6pm on Tuesday evening. However, the temperature is forecasted to remain below freezing until noon on Wednesday. It will barely stay above freezing for about 4 hours on Wednesday and then drop below freezing until mid-morning on Thursday morning. Therefore, we are announcing that we will NOT service any areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are planning to be able to run on Thursday, but we may get off to a late start depending on the road conditions on Thursday morning.
Please see the adjusted schedules below!
THURSDAY JANUARY 23RD, 2025
All customers that are normally serviced 1x per week on Tuesday
All customers that are normally serviced 1x per week on Wednesday
We are planning on completing these routes on Thursday, but it will depend on what time we are able to start on Thursday morning. If we do start late and are not able to complete everything by Thursday evening, we will get everything completed first thing Friday morning before we start on the Friday schedule.
FRIDAY JANUARY 24th, 2025
The following areas will be serviced on Friday:
All customers that are normally serviced 1x per week on Thursday
All customers that are normally serviced 1x per week on Friday
We are planning on completing these routes on Friday. However, if we must complete the Thursday schedule on Friday morning, we may not get the Friday schedule completed. If we are not able to complete everything by Friday evening, we will get everything completed first thing Saturday morning.
REMINDERS:
CARTS - please have your cart(s) to the curb the night prior or by 4am on the day that we will be in your area.
GREEN WASTE/BULKY WASTE – for those areas that have green waste and bulky waste included with their service, the sleet and snow will probably cause some branches to break. Please make sure to put the branches in a separate pile at the curb. If green waste is put in the cart, the lid must not be open more than 6 inches. Do not overstuff the cart with the green waste or the cart will be left down.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work our way through this unprecedented weather event. This is something our area has not experienced in a very long time. I don’t think anyone is quite sure of the extent of how the sleet, snow, and freezing temperatures will affect our area. There could be power outages and dangerous road conditions that last several days which makes scheduling that more challenging. We appreciate your support for our TEAM members, especially for their Safety. Our office will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will reopen on Thursday morning. Please continue to monitor our website and social medial pages for further updates.

We will be running our normal Monday garbage routes tomorrow (1/20/25). Please have your cart(s) to the curb tonight or by 4am on Monday morning. We also ask that once your cart(s) has been serviced, that you remove it from the curb and place in a secure location.
As a reminder, recycling is cancelled this week. We are not running any recycling routes in any of the areas that we serve.
Please continue to monitor our website and social media pages as we will be announcing changes to our collection schedule for the remainder of the week.
We have been monitoring the weather forecasts for the past couple of days. From everything that we are seeing and hearing is the consensus is that we will have some type of wintry weather conditions starting Monday evening into Tuesday, with possible lingering effects into Wednesday. The road conditions will not be ideal for having our team members risk driving to work or for having our trucks on the roads. The Safety of our Team members is and will always be one of our top priorities. We will never put their Safety at risk.
Based on the current information that we have, we have made the decision to let everyone know right now that we are CANCELLING RECYCLING for this week. We have already notified the Parish President, the Mayors, as well as many HOA’s that have recycling service of this change. We will resume our regular schedule for recycling next week starting on Monday January 27th.
As of right now, we will be running our regular garbage routes on Monday January 20th. However, there will probably be changes to the garbage collection schedule for the remainder of the week (Tuesday - Friday). There is a very strong possibility that we will not be running on Tuesday and may not be able to run on Wednesday as well. We are asking all customers to continue to monitor our website and social media pages for further updates to our garbage collection schedule for Tuesday - Friday. We will post an update tomorrow evening and another on Monday morning as we counties to get the most updated information concerning the weather.
This is a unique weather event for us in Southeast Louisiana. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
